Turkmenistan President Approves Proposal to Modernize Oil Refineries

On January 24, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers using the digital system, at which a number of relevant issues of state life were considered.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov reported on the progress of modernization of oil refineries of the State Concern "Turkmennebit".
As noted, in accordance with the instructions given by the head of Turkmenistan on the effective use of the capacities of specialized enterprises, for the purpose of oil refining, uninterrupted supply of domestic consumers with oil products and increasing the volume of their export to foreign markets, the necessary work is being carried out at the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries and the Seydi oil refinery.
In this regard, a corresponding proposal was submitted to the President of the country for consideration.
Having heard the report, the head of state emphasized that our country attaches great importance to the development of the petrochemical industry and the modernization of oil refineries. Having approved the proposal prepared to provide domestic consumers and foreign markets with sufficient volumes of petroleum products, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed the Vice-Chairman with relevant instructions.
