The President of Turkmenistan discussed promising areas of cooperation with the head of the Saudi Fund for Development

On December 7, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Fund for Development Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, TDH reports.

During the meeting, the guest noted the great importance Saudi Arabia attaches to multifaceted mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkmenistan.

The head of state expressed confidence that the first visit of the Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Fund for Development to Turkmenistan will contribute to the consistent expansion and intensification of financial and economic partnership in the interests of each party.

During the meeting, a high level of interaction with the Saudi Fund for Development, with which Turkmenistan has been cooperating for many years, was noted. During this time, the fund has actively participated in financing a number of major national and international projects in the fields of healthcare, transport and communications, and finance.

These projects serve not only the interests of the participating states, but also the peoples of the countries of the region, Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized.

Having thanked the guest for facilitating the strengthening of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Saudi Fund for Development, the head of state expressed readiness to further expand cooperation.

Al-Marshad noted that he was glad to participate in the financing of projects by the Saudi Fund for Development within the framework of a constructive partnership, in particular, in the field of healthcare and transport, as well as the growing interest in the investment attractiveness of the developing promising Turkmen market.

As part of the visit, the delegation of the Saudi Fund for Development held a meeting with the management of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan, where issues of further development of bilateral partnership were discussed, and relevant documents were signed between the government of Turkmenistan and the Saudi Fund for Development.
