Ashgabat, November 3 – The International Exhibition and Conference «Construction, Industry, and Energy of Turkmenistan – CIET 2024» opened its doors, timed to coincide with the Day of Workers of the Construction and Industrial Complex of the country.
This significant event is designed to play a crucial role in developing Turkmenistan's industrial, construction, and energy sectors, as well as attracting innovations and investments into these areas of the economy.
The organizers of the event include the Ministry of Construction and Architecture, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production, the State Concern «Turkmenchemistry,» the State Agency for the Management of Construction of Automobile Roads, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, jointly with the hyakimlik of Ashgabat.
«Today, the construction and industrial sector is one of the priority segments of the national economy. Its key industries – industrial, construction, including road, chemical, and energy – are developing at an accelerated pace,» noted a congratulatory message from the President of Turkmenistan to the workers of the construction and industrial complex of the country.
The head of state emphasized that electric power plays a key role in the development of the national economy. «Currently, measures are being taken to ensure reliable and uninterrupted power supply to domestic consumers, diversify the supply of electricity to foreign countries, create new power capacities, and unite the existing national power grid into a single ring,» the presidential message says.
It also emphasizes that «the project of the power transmission line along the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan route is being successfully implemented, which will allow increasing the volume and directions of supplying domestic electricity abroad. Modern technologies are being introduced into production, and the volume of electricity generation is steadily increasing».
The exhibition, taking place at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, features more than 100 companies from ten countries, including Turkmenistan, Russia, Turkey, the UAE, China, Uzbekistan, India, Latvia, Germany, and Great Britain. Participants present advanced technological solutions and innovative equipment in the fields of construction, industry, and energy.
Numerous exhibits acquaint visitors with innovative solutions used in Turkmenistan to optimize urban life and develop the construction industry. Participants in the large-scale review can not only see the latest developments but also discuss their practical application.
The event brought together a record number of participants representing government agencies, national construction agencies, associations and unions, research and design organizations, international construction companies, and educational institutions.
The goal of CIET 2024 is to discuss current issues in the field of construction, industry, energy, utilities, and also to discuss new regional infrastructure projects.
The program of the three-day conference includes the discussion of new investment projects in the field of electric power, construction, and industry, the signing of memoranda and contracts, and the holding of seminars and round tables. Special attention will be paid to the second stage of the construction of the smart city of Arkadag.
