The XXIX International Exhibition «Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2024» has ended

The 29th International Conference and Exhibition «Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2024» (OGT 2024), which was held from October 23 to 25, has ended in Ashgabat. 

The organizers of the major industry forum were the State Concerns «Turkmengas» and «Turkmennebit» with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the State Corporation «Turkmengeology». 

The event was attended by more than 800 delegates from 250 companies, international organizations, media and financial institutions representing more than 52 countries. The work of the forum was actively covered by the world's leading media. 

The rich program of «OGT 2024» included sessions on the energy transition, new export routes for energy resources and environmental aspects of hydrocarbon production.  The conference brought together leading experts from international companies, heads of the fuel and energy, chemical and financial sectors of Turkmenistan, as well as scientists. 

The conference participants discussed the implementation of joint investment projects, safe delivery of hydrocarbon resources and production of alternative energy, focusing on environmental requirements and sustainable energy development. 

After summing up the conference, a diploma award ceremony was held for the forum participants. The participants of the exhibition and conference adopted an appeal to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. 

The International Conference «OGT 2024» has become a relevant platform for strengthening cooperation and exchanging experience between leading national and international oil and gas companies and financial institutions that shape the future of the oil and gas industry.

It is planned to increase hydrocarbon production in Balkan region

In the Balkan region, a key region in the oil and gas sector of Turkmenistan, it is planned to increase natural gas production to 11 billion cubic meters per year by 2025. The head of the Department for Analysis of Economic Risks of the Agency for Protection from Economic Risks under the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, Hangeldi Gurbangeldiev, said this in a commentary for the official Turkmen press.
