Seminar “The Role of Trade Unions in the Labor Achievements of Turkmen Citizens” takes place

The National Trade Union Center (NTUC) of Turkmenistan together with the Council of the Trade Union of Oil and Gas Workers of Turkmenistan and the Councils of the Trade Union of Workers of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Public Organizations of the country held a seminar on the topic “The Role of Trade Unions in the Labor Achievements of Turkmen Citizens”. In organizing the seminar, great assistance was provided by the Committee of Trade Unions of the Türkmennebit State Concern.

The seminar, which was held from October 7 to 11 of the year “Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Pyragy” in the Dayanç health center of the Avaza NTZ, was attended by leaders and active members of the primary trade union organizations of the above-mentioned structures and responsible employees of the NTUC of Turkmenistan. 

On the first day of the seminar, speeches were heard and presentations were made on statistical reporting in primary trade union organizations, organizational activities related to holding cultural events, drawing up rules for sports competitions, concluding collective agreements at organizations and enterprises and implementing them.

In the speeches of the chairman of the Trade Union Committee of the Türkmennebit State Concern Akmyrad Amanov, the chairman of the primary organization of the trade union of the Daşoguzgazüpjünçilik Directorate Ashirberdy Berdiyev, the chairwoman of the primary organization of the trade union of the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography of Turkmenistan Bilbil Jumayeva and others, the role of trade union organizations in conducting propaganda and explanatory work on the successful implementation of the policy of the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, aimed at the comprehensive development of the Motherland and the improvement of the social and living conditions of the Turkmen people, was noted.

In the afternoon, the seminar discussed issues of settling labor relations in teams, resolving disputes arising in the course of labor organization. It was emphasized that the main areas of the activities of trade union organizations were the creation and provision of healthy and safe working conditions for workers, supervision and control over compliance with labor protection requirements. In this regard, it was noted that it was necessary to conduct investigations and record accidents at work and occupational diseases and to protect the rights and legitimate interests of workers, who have suffered from accidents at work and occupational diseases, and their family members. Speeches were heard from inspectors of industry trade unions and representatives of interested departments.    

On the second day of the event, the chairwoman of the sectoral council of trade unions of workers of culture, sports, tourism and public organizations of Turkmenistan Ene Mammedova made a speech about the achievements of the country in the period of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State, the active participation and significant contribution of young people to the development of the homeland and the challenges facing the younger generation. 

The speeches of the chief investigator of the Central Investigative Committee of the TUC Rahman Chariyev and the chairman of the primary organization of the trade union of the Natural Gas Research Institute of the Türkmengaz State Corporation Murad Bayramgylyjov covered the rules for maintaining financial records, after which a conversation took place about labor relations, labor protection and amendments and addenda made to the Labor Code of Turkmenistan. 

On the third day of the seminar, the chief lawyer of the department of the protection of social and labor rights of members of the TUC Hydyr Gurbanov explained the implementation of the Law of Turkmenistan “On Trade Unions, Their Rights and Guarantees of Activities”, the Charter and the approved Regulations of the trade unions of Turkmenistan. 

Within the framework of the seminar, competitions, contests and excursions to the sights of the Avaza NTZ were organized at the open and closed grounds of the sports complex of the Dayanch health center. 

The performances of the employees of the Cultural and Business Center of the Oil and Gas Complex, the orchestra of the Cultural Center of the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries gave the seminar an atmosphere of celebration. The listeners who actively participated in various competitions, held during the seminar, were presented with memorable gifts.
