Turkmenistan and Mongolia agreed to develop trade and economic cooperation

In Ashgabat On October 12, the first state visit of the President of Mongolia to Turkmenistan took place at the highest level between the heads of two friendly countries of Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Uhnaagiyin Khuralsuh, according to TDH.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the aim of Turkmenistan on the consistent development of cooperation with Mongolia in political and diplomatic, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, close cooperation within the largest international organizations.
The meeting considered a wide range of issues and identified the main areas of cooperation, taking into account the long-term prospects for the development of bilateral relations. Berdimuhamedov noted the prospects for a mutually beneficial energy partnership. Berdimuhamedov, while emphasizing the presence of Turkmenistan opportunities for establishing supply schemes for the supply of fuel and energy complex to Mongolia, a wide range of oil and gas chemistry products.
In a number of promising areas Turkmen-Mongolian cooperation has been allocated transport and logistics, energy and communications.
Speaking to media representatives, Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that during the negotiations a special place was given to discussion of trade and economic cooperation. Taking into account the need to give them the proper impulse, instructions were given to study ways to expand mutual trade, to activate investment policy. An important role in solving these tasks is to play partnerships in the business communities of the two countries.
– Turkmenistan and Mongolia have the opportunity to build mutually beneficial ties in these areas. We discussed the prospects for the implementation of the East-West transport corridor through the territories of Mongolia and Central Asia. In this regard, I also invited Mongolian partners to consider the possibility of mutually beneficial use of the port infrastructure of Turkmenistan on the Caspian Sea, - Serdar Berdimuhamedov claimed.
– The first state visit of the President of Mongolia to Turkmenistan in history, the results of which a package of important bilateral documents was signed, I assess as very successful and productive, - summed up the President of Turkmenistan, emphasizing that the meeting at the top confirmed the existence of a serious potential for cooperation, the will and determination of the leadership of the two states to do everything necessary for its implementation.
As part of his stay in Ashgabat, the President of Mongolia met with the national leader of the Turkmen people, the chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, the hero-arkadag, and, together with other high foreign guests, took part in The Turkmen capital of the representative international forum «The relationship between times and civilizations is the basis of peace and development», dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and thinker of the east, Magtymguly Fragi.
