Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Malaysia discussed issues of enhancing bilateral cooperation

The issues of enhancing Turkmen-Malaysian partnership relations were discussed at a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Malaysian delegation headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Dato Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hassan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of further enhancing long-term partnership interaction based on the principles of mutual respect and consideration of interests. Cooperation in the political and diplomatic line was considered, including interaction within the framework of international structures, in particular the UN, OIC.

The parties noted the similarity of positions on a number of aspects of the regional and international agenda.

The ministers discussed trade and economic ties, as well as cooperation in the fields of science, culture and tourism.
