The results of the work of the fuel and energy complex of Turkmenistan for the first half of 2024 were discussed at the industry meeting

 On July 15, a reporting meeting was held in the Central building of the oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan, at which the results of the work of industry enterprises for six months of the current year, held under the motto “The Fount of Mind of Magtymguly Fragi,” were discussed. During the meeting, the tasks set for the country's oil and gas complex by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, which took place on July 12, were discussed, at which the results of the work of all sectors of the economy were summed up, and specific ways to further advance work in this direction were discussed.

 Opening the reporting meeting, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Amanov especially emphasized that under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in order to improve the activities of the industry and its consistent development based on modern achievements, the state is creating all conditions, modernizing the material and technical base, introducing innovative technologies, which  , in turn, determines specific tasks facing the domestic fuel and energy complex.

 During the meeting, the Chairman of the State Concern «Turkmengas» Maksat Babayev, the Chairman of the State Concern «Turkmennebit» Guvanch Agajanov, the Chairman of the State Corporation «Turkmengeology» Gurbangeldy Garlyev, as well as the heads of associations, departments and enterprises of the complex, who reported on the work done for the reporting period and  announced tasks for the near future. 

The speeches included information about the production of oil, gas condensate and liquefied gas in the country, increasing the export potential of the industry and entering new markets, developing cooperation with major investors and oil and gas companies of foreign countries, holding working meetings with them, and the widespread use of the digital system in activities  complex, intensifying work on the development of the Galkynysh gas field, ensuring the uninterrupted functioning of production facilities, accelerating the pace of construction work, as well as in other equally relevant areas.

 During the meeting, Vice-Chairman Batyr Amanov emphasized the importance of consistently continuing work on the introduction of innovative technologies and taking comprehensive measures, in accordance with the instructions of the head of state, in order to increase the production capacity of the enterprises of the complex, attracting foreign companies for cooperation in the search and development of hydrocarbon resources in the region  Caspian Sea, effective exploration of promising hydrocarbon fields by Turkmen geologists and further strengthening activities for the development of the country’s oil and gas industry.  Also, the Vice-Chairman, outlining the specific tasks facing the State Concerns “Turkmengas” and “Turkmennebit”, and the State Corporation “Turkmengeology”, wished the fuel and energy sector workers success in their future activities. 

 At the reporting meeting, Advisor to the President of Turkmenistan on oil and gas issues Ashyrguly Begliev noted that the fuel and energy complex of Turkmenistan continues to develop dynamically, and voiced his proposals for further increasing the pace of development of the activities of the state concerns “Turkmengas”, “Turkmennebit”, and the state corporation “Turkmengeology”.

Over 500 delegates registered to participate in TIF 2024

Next week, the capital of Turkmenistan will host the Investment Forum TIF 2024, which will discuss the strategy for developing the national economy, attracting foreign investment and strengthening international cooperation. The upcoming forum will be especially large-scale: it will be attended by more than 500 delegates, including representatives of government agencies, the private sector, international organizations and foreign investors.

The results of the work of enterprises of the oil and gas sector of Turkmenistan for January this year were presented by Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Shakhym Abdrakhmanov at a government meeting, which President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held last Thursday via video link.
