The focus of Turkmen-Qatari political consultations is on issues of cooperation in the field of fuel and energy complex, investment and tourism

 Issues of cooperation in the field of investment, tourism, energy and the oil and gas industry were discussed during political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the State of Qatar, held in the city of Doha, reports the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country. 

 The Turkmen delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Akhmet Gurbanov, the Qatari delegation was headed by the State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraihi.

 During the consultations, an exchange of views took place on the current state of political, diplomatic, cultural and humanitarian relations between Turkmenistan and the State of Qatar.  The parties especially considered issues of trade and economic relations in the field of investment, tourism, energy and the oil and gas industry, the Foreign Ministry notes.

 The importance of the Joint Intergovernmental Turkmen-Qatari Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was emphasized.  The parties also touched upon the development of interparliamentary cooperation.

 The diplomats agreed to strengthen efforts to develop effective partnerships in a bilateral format.  At the same time, the importance of continuing contacts and meetings at the highest and highest levels was noted.

 During the meeting, the consistency of development of cooperation within the framework of multilateral diplomacy, including at the UN, was stated.  Expansion of the contractual and legal framework of the partnership was also named a priority area.

 Among the promising areas, the promotion of cultural and humanitarian partnership was also noted, including holding Days of Cultures, joint exhibitions, and cooperation in the fields of education and sports.

 During the meeting, current issues of the regional and international agenda were discussed, notes the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
