International scientific conference TESC 2024 draws attention to environmental and sustainable development issues

 Tomorrow, June 5, the International Scientific Conference will begin in the capital of Turkmenistan: “Energy prospects, new technologies and environmental aspects of the development of hydrocarbon fields,” which is designed to attract public attention to solving environmental issues and sustainable development.  Timed to coincide with World Environment Day, the meeting highlights the relevance of the topics that will be discussed by its many participants. 

 With more than 250 delegates from 31 countries registered to attend, the two-day TESC 2024 conference will be an important step towards a sustainable future, bringing together scientists, researchers and specialists to work together to address the environmental challenges of our time.

 TESC 2024 will bring together renowned scientists and researchers from around the world, including NASA scientist Dana Chadwick and “tornado hunter” George Kourounis, who previously visited Turkmenistan as part of an expedition, as well as leading experts from the UN and the Society of Petroleum Engineers SPE. 

 The conference will discuss key issues related to energy prospects, new technologies and environmental aspects of hydrocarbon development.  Particular attention will be paid to innovative approaches to hydrocarbon production while minimizing the impact on the environment, methods for reducing methane and carbon dioxide emissions, initiatives to promote green energy and create favorable conditions for its development. 

 Delegates will also consider the future of energy, focusing on the transition to more sustainable and renewable energy sources, strategies for integrating and bringing Turkmen energy to global markets, as well as methods for utilizing carbon dioxide and sulfur in the development of oil and gas fields.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited the headquarters of Petronas, the country's largest oil and gas company, during his official visit to Malaysia on December 18-19.
