Russia and the Islamic world are called upon to show examples of effective and attractive economic and technological models of cooperation.  This was stated by the head of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, speaking on May 16 at the XV International Economic Forum “Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum 2024”.

In this regard, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that commitment to traditional values, peace and social justice, which serve as our moral core and support, must be combined with familiarization with modern trends, innovative implementations in the economy and everyday life.

At the same time, Hero-Arkadag expressed his conviction that there is a huge field for joint activity.

 - The powerful technological, scientific, educational potential of Russia, combined with such undeniable advantages of many states of the Islamic world as developed infrastructure, the presence of vast natural resources, a young and mobile population, creates conditions for large-scale joint projects, building sustainable lines of industrial, energy, and transport cooperation  , scientific and educational exchanges, combining intellectual forces and advanced, breakthrough solutions, - Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized.

 - I am convinced that, being open to partnership for the whole world, Russia and Islamic countries, combining their enormous capabilities, are capable of influencing global trends in the most serious and positive way - in politics, economics, morally and psychologically, demonstrating that  good will, peacefulness, respect and the desire for progress without prejudice to identity, national dignity and historical experience must remain the cornerstone in relations between states and peoples.  There is no alternative here,” - the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan said.

At the same time, Hero-Arkadag emphasized that Turkmenistan, as a responsible member of the world community and part of the Islamic world, sees its goal as promoting such an approach by proposing concrete steps and actions.
