Turkmenistan will continue to strengthen cooperation with Tatarstan within the framework of a strategic partnership with the Russian Federation. This was stated by the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who arrived on May 15 on a working visit to Tatarstan to participate as an honorary guest in the International Economic Forum “Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum 2024” and the annual meeting of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia-Islamic World”.

“We take this opportunity to reaffirm our intention to continue active work aimed at strengthening multifaceted cooperation with brotherly Tatarstan within the framework of a strategic partnership with the Russian Federation,” TDH quotes the words of the head of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.

“Holding such significant international events in Kazan aimed at enhancing economic interaction between the Russian Federation and the countries of the Islamic world is an indicator of high authority and great international interest in Tatarstan,” noted Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Hero-Arkadag expressed confidence that “the current visit of the delegation of Turkmenistan and upcoming meetings at various venues will make a significant contribution to the expansion of our bilateral relations, which are an important component of the strategic partnership of Turkmenistan with the Russian Federation”.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov recalled that “for centuries, our peoples have maintained friendly relations based on common cultures, similar languages, a common religion, similar traditions, respect for each other and equality.”

It was also noted that “one of the main factors of systematic and effective bilateral interaction is regular meetings and contacts at the highest level.”

Chairman Halk Maslahaty recalled that during the recent visit of Rustam Minnikhanov to Turkmenistan by Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation to participate in events dedicated to the National Day of the Turkmen Horse, “the current state and prospects for further interaction and cooperation were discussed, taking into account the interests of national economies and extensive experience many years of collaboration".

Emphasizing effective cooperation in various areas, the head of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, in particular, noted “successful work in the oil and gas industry, shipbuilding, chemical industry, in the field of supply of aviation equipment and trucks”.

“An equally important aspect of Turkmen-Tatarstan relations is cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, including in the fields of education, culture and art,” Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said.
