On Sunday, April 28, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the celebrations on the occasion of the National Day of the Turkmen Horse, held at the International Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex.  The guest of honor of the holiday was Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, who specially visited our country these days.

 The head of Turkmenistan and his guest walked together through the territory of the complex, where an exhibition of folk crafts, decorative and applied arts, and artistic works took place.  Colorful performances by musicians and folk groups, as well as competitions of goresh masters took place here.

 Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Rustam Minnikhanov went to the stands and watched the races.  Prizes from the financial, oil and gas, trade, transport and communications, construction and industrial, and agricultural sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan were established in the equestrian competitions.  And the main prize - from the President of the country - the Challenge Cup was played in the seventh, final race.

 Then a ceremony took place to present prizes to the winners of the festive horse races, as well as the equestrian marathon and show jumping competitions held this week.
