President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov completed work on the book “Änew – müňýyllyklardan gözbaş alýan medeniýet”, written on the occasion of the proclamation of the city of Anau as the “Cultural Capital of the Turkic World” in 2024. This work will be a gift to the Turkmen people in the year under the motto “The Fount of Mind of Magtymguly Fragi”.
Presenting his new book at a government meeting on March 23, the head of state emphasized the significant archaeological discoveries made in Turkmenistan by scientists Masson, Pampelli and Sarianidi, which confirm the glorious past of the Turkmen people.
The President also noted that Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov managed to work with scientists, organize trips of archaeologists to different parts of the country, and in general, carry out activities related to excavations. Information collected from historical sources contributed to the creation of a new book.
As the President said, next week the country will start events to mark the proclamation of the city of Anau as the “Cultural Capital of the Turkic World” in 2024.
In particular, on March 26, it is planned to organize a joint concert of vocalists, an exhibition of works by masters of fine and decorative arts, and works by photographers - representatives of the Turkic peoples.
Leaders of the International Organization of Turkic Culture, the Organization of Turkic States, the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States, the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, the International Turkic Academy, relevant ministries of member and observer countries of TURKSOY, as well as creative and scientific delegations will arrive in Turkmenistan to participate in these events.
In addition, during this year, proclaimed under the motto “The Fount of the Mind of Magtymguly Fragi,” the II Theater Festival of the TURKSOY member countries and the International Film Festival “Gorkut ata” will be held.
In this regard, the President instructed to ensure a high organizational level of events on the occasion of declaring the city of Anau the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024 and to create all conditions for foreign guests arriving in Turkmenistan.
