Serdar Berdimuhamedov: Turkmenistan’s Investment Forum will help boost international partnerships

The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the participants of the Turkmenistan Investment Forum on the commencement of its proceedings in Ashgabat on October 1.

The Head of State emphasized that “this international event, held in the ‘Pearl of Asia’ – white-marble Ashgabat, will impart positive momentum to the industrialization and the sustainable socioeconomic development of our country’s regions in the period of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State.”

“I am convinced that the forum will also enable us to scale up the adoption of modern technologies across various sectors, to implement the concept of a digital and green economy and to invigorate international partnerships,” the President of Turkmenistan noted.

“The highly advantageous geopolitical and geo-economic position of our independent and neutral state in Central Asia, combined with its abundant raw material resources, offers significant investment opportunities,” the Head of State stated in his Address published in Turkmenistan’s central media outlets.

The President emphasized that the investment forum “is of great importance in showcasing the course we are pursuing toward industrial and innovative development, ensuring its competitiveness, and the significant achievements of the period of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State overall.”

“Construction is currently proceeding successfully on a key segment of one of the region’s largest and most significant projects – the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India (TAPI) gas pipeline, specifically the Serhetabat–Herat section, known as ‘Arkadagyň ak ýoly’. Similar momentum is evident in the laying of the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan power transmission and fiber-optic communication lines,” Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted.

“Our country has set as its primary goal the development of a model that combines effective financial and economic instruments with its own scientific, technological and intellectual potential. Therefore, particular importance is attached to the introduction of high technologies and innovations across all sectors and to an increase in the volume of investment directed toward them,” the Head of State’s congratulatory message states.

“We will continue to successfully implement a well-thought investment policy that meets the realities of the times for the sake of the comprehensive progress of our independent and neutral state,” Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized.
