Nineteen transactions were registered at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
Business representatives from Türkiye, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates purchased polypropylene, base oil and petroleum coke, produced at the facilities of the Türkmennebit State Concern, for foreign currency.
For foreign currency, cotton fabric and yarn, refined cottonseed oil and licorice root extract were also sold. Among the countries-buyers were the United Arab Emirates, Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan.
The total value of the transactions exceeded 2 million 821 thousand US dollars.
Domestic businesspeople purchased polypropylene (from the Türkmennebit State Concern), technical-grade iodine, cotton fabric and wheat flour, with a total value of 533 million 356 thousand manats, for the domestic market.
