On April 10, during the working visit of the esteemed President to the Lebap velayat, a festive opening ceremony was held for the Mary – Turkmenabat section of the highway. This segment marks a key milestone in the construction of the high-speed international Ashgabat – Turkmenabat highway, which spans a total of 600 kilometers. This landmark event for the country took place during the year, being held under the motto “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses.” The opening of this state-of-the-art highway, which reliably connects the Ahal, Mary and Lebap velayats with the capital, now enables the rapid transportation of passengers and cargo.
A network of modern roadside service facilities, fully compliant with high international standards, has been established along this new section. Filling stations No. 245 and No. 246, located at the 372nd kilometer of the highway, are particularly popular among drivers. These stations were built by order of the Türkmennebitönümleri Main Directorate of the Türkmennebit State Concern.
