The Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries will purchase up to 500 thousand tons of crude oil in 2021 from foreign companies operating in our country under the terms of Production Sharing Agreements (PSA).  The corresponding decree was signed by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Friday.

The draft resolution on the purchase of crude oil for further processing at the TCOR was presented to the head of state by Vice-Chairman Shakhym Abdrakhmanov at a government meeting last Friday. According to the document, during 2021 it is planned to purchase up to 500 thousand tons of oil from foreign companies operating in the country on the basis of Production Sharing Agreements.

In the spring, the President drew the attention of the leadership of the oil and gas industry to the incomplete load of oil refineries and instructed to take appropriate measures to remedy the situation.

At present, the TCOR capacities allow to process 10 million tons of crude oil annually. Among the products manufactured by the plant are gasoline, aviation and technical kerosene, diesel fuel, fuel oil, lubricating oils, polypropylene, liquefied gas, bitumen, etc.

The plant's products are sold both in the domestic market and are successfully exported. In particular, it is supplied to Afghanistan, Germany, Spain, Italy, China, Turkey, Pakistan, Russia, Japan and other countries.
