IOGU faculty held preparatory classes for gifted schoolchildren

Experienced faculty from the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University held preparatory classes for gifted schoolchildren at the Saparmurat Turkmenbashi Specialized Boarding School in Ashgabat during spring break.

The preparatory classes were held in physics, computer science, chemistry, biology, geography, and astronomy in accordance with Order No. 100 of the Minister of Education of Turkmenistan "On the Preparation of Schoolchildren for International Olympiads," adopted in March 2026. Participants became sixty-three gifted students from grades 8-12, selected from schools in Ashgabat, the city of Arkadag, and the Ahal, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap, and Mary regions.

Along with experienced teachers from the Yagshygeldi Kakayev IOGU, the preparatory classes were attended by staff from the National Institute of Education of Turkmenistan, teachers from the Magtymguly Turkmen State University, the Oguzkhan Engineering and Technology University, the International University for Humanities and Development, the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute, the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering, and the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics.

Over 500 delegates registered to participate in TIF 2024

Next week, the capital of Turkmenistan will host the Investment Forum TIF 2024, which will discuss the strategy for developing the national economy, attracting foreign investment and strengthening international cooperation.
