A telephone conversation took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on June 29, TDH reports.
The head of Uzbekistan congratulated Hero Arkadag on his birthday, wishing him good health, long life and success in his multifaceted activities for the sake of the further prosperity of the Turkmen state and the prosperous life of the Turkmen people.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev also highly appreciated the efforts of Hero-Arkadag in building relations between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, and addressed warm greetings and best wishes to the head of state Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Hero-Arkadag emphasized that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the development of comprehensive cooperation with fraternal Uzbekistan, which is a close neighbor and reliable partner.
The interlocutors noted with satisfaction that in recent years, bilateral dialogue has reached a qualitatively new level and is now successfully expanding in a wide range of areas.
As noted, relations between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are distinguished by openness, a high level of trust and mutual understanding. Our countries successfully cooperate not only in a bilateral format, but also within the framework of international structures.
Trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties are also developing dynamically, cooperation in science and education is successfully expanding. A regular and constructive dialogue has been established between the ministries and departments of the two countries.
The interlocutors also noted the importance of further intensifying interaction between the legislative bodies of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Having emphasized the special, personal contribution of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the development of Turkmen-Uzbek relations, which are of a strategic nature and are based on the principles of good neighborliness, Hero-Arkadag thanked the head of the friendly state for his efforts.
