The development of bilateral cooperation was discussed at a meeting on February 21 between the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Presidential Administration of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who arrived in our country on a visit, TDH reports.

The meeting emphasized that since 1995, when diplomatic relations were established between the two countries, Turkmenistan and the UAE have been consistently increasing cooperation in the political and diplomatic, trade and economic, investment, energy, transport and logistics, and cultural and humanitarian fields. Leading UAE companies are also involved in the implementation of major projects in the oil and gas, energy and construction industries of Turkmenistan.

The interlocutors noted the role of Turkmenistan's neutrality status and the UAE's strategic goals in the international arena in strengthening interstate relations.

As noted, the UN General Assembly Resolution initiated by our country declared 2025 the "International Year of Peace and Trust".

- This decision, naturally, is consistent with the 30th anniversary of the recognition of Turkmenistan's neutrality status by the United Nations, - said President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and presented an invitation to the upcoming International Forum in Ashgabat on December 12. At the same time, the head of Turkmenistan expressed confidence that the participation of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan in a major international event will be a major contribution to the further strengthening of bilateral relations.
