At the Economic Chamber of Austria in Vienna, a meeting of the delegation of Turkmenistan with representatives of the Austrian business community was held, at which opportunities for cooperation in the oil and gas sector were discussed, Turkmenistan habarlar portal (THP) reports.

At the event, the Turkmen side confirmed its commitment to the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline project for the supply of natural gas to Europe.  As the Turkmen delegates noted, a systematic partnership with the European Union has already been built in this area.

The same priority is the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline, and our country welcomes the interested participation of Austrian companies in these and other gas projects.

Turkmen delegates also invited Austrian business to consider the possibility of participating in the development of oil and gas fields in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea.

It was also noted that Turkmenistan is ready to discuss the supply of machinery and equipment from Austrian manufacturers to increase capacity and expand transport infrastructure, which will ensure the supply of Turkmen natural gas to world markets.
