The Parliament of Azerbaijan approved a Memorandum with Turkmenistan on the development of the «Dostluk» field in the Caspian Sea

The Milli Majlis (parliament) of Azerbaijan at a plenary session on February 23 approved the Memorandum of Understanding on the «Dostluk» field between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, INTERFAX-AZERBAIJAN reports.
Recall that on January 21, 2021, the Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan in Ashgabat signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan on joint exploration, development and producing of hydrocarbon resources of the «Dostluk» field in the Caspian Sea. The oil reserves of this field, according to the Azerbaijani side, are estimated at about 50 million tons.
