The State Corporation "Turkmengeologiya "(formerly the department "Turkmengeologiya", the production association of geological exploration "Turkmengeologiya") was established on October 31, 1938 after the closure of the Central Asian Geological Trust.
Until 1938, oil and gas fields were explored on the territory of the country and individual natural resources were identified, as well as the development of the necessary natural resources was carried out at that time. The creation of the unified geological Service of Turkmenistan in October 1938 gave a powerful impetus to the study of the geological structure of our country, the discovery and development of natural resources.
