At the next meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which was held last Friday by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on a digital video communication system, the results of the work of economic sectors for January of this year, including those in the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan, were summed up.
Over the past month, the Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Myratgeldi Meredov reported on the results of the work of the supervised areas.
It was noted that the plan for oil and gas condensate production was fulfilled by 109.7 percent, oil refining - 107 percent, gasoline production - 103.5 percent, diesel fuel - 107.2 percent, lubricants - 103 percent. The growth rate of liquefied gas production amounted to 135.5 percent, natural and associated gas production - 106.1 percent, export of “blue fuel” - 104.2 percent.
Having listened to the report, the President drew attention to the tasks of the progressive development of the oil and gas industry, strengthening its production and scientific and technical potential.
The head of the state pointed out the importance of introducing advanced technologies in the oil and gas sector. Specific instructions were given to modernize the infrastructure of the industry, increase the capacity of oil and gas chemical industries, producing products that are in demand domestically and on the world market.
The President ordered to take appropriate measures to consolidate the achieved performance indicators, as well as to keep under constant control the implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project.
