Presidents of the Republic of Korea and Turkmenistan visit polymer factory in Kiyanly

Today, the head of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae In, who is in our country on a state visit, visited a large gas chemical complex in the village of Kiyanly, built in the Caspian region with the participation of South Korean companies.

The plant is equipped with the equipment of production of Japan, Republic of Korea, the USA, Great Britain, Belgium, Germany, Denmark and other countries of Europe. It consists of four main process units: gas separation, refining, ethane, polyethylene, and polypropylene. All processes are automated and subject to centralized management.

The production of polymers at the gas chemical complex in Kiyanly is carried out on the basis of modern technologies, the distinctive feature of which is the deep purification of raw materials from all kinds of impurities according to unique schemes.

The company produces seven types of polyethylene and five types of polypropylene resulting from the introduction of various additives and fillers into the polymer material at high temperature.

The project of construction of the gas chemical complex in Kiyanly was awarded a special award of the organization "TXF" (UK), as one of the ten best projects in Europe and Eurasia in 2014, financed by export credit agencies.

President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae In highly appreciated the level of technical and technological equipment of the enterprise, emphasizing the indisputable leadership of Turkmenistan in many positions of the energy complex.

Thanking for the opportunity to get acquainted with the activities of the gas chemical complex, Moon Jae In noted the great prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in the oil and gas sector.
