Today, the 11th meeting of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian Commission on economic cooperation was held in the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the website of the foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reports.
During the meeting, the parties discussed in detail the key aspects of bilateral cooperation, including trade and economic issues. The participants touched upon the issues related to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the relevant ministries and departments of the two countries, the implementation of the agreements reached, and also discussed the process of implementation of trade operations.
They also discussed joint projects, the activities of Russian companies in Turkmenistan, as well as prospects for cooperation in the industrial, construction, transport, oil and gas, chemical and electric power industries.
At the end of the meeting, a package of bilateral documents was signed, including the “Protocol of the eleventh meeting of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian Commission on economic cooperation”, “the Memorandum between the government of the Astrakhan region (Russian Federation) and the chamber of Commerce and industry of Turkmenistan on the establishment of the Turkmen-Astrakhan joint Council on entrepreneurship,” etc.
