A round table on "the First Caspian Economic forum: investment opportunities for the European Union in the Caspian region and Central Asia"was held in Brussels on June 5. The event dedicated to this important event, which will be held on August 12, 2019 in the National tourist zone "Avaza", was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Belgium together with the European Institute of Asian studies.
The Energy Charter’s Secretary-General Urban Rusnak, the staff of the Central Asia Division of the European External Relations Service, as well as the European Institute for Asian Studies, the leaders and staff of various organizations of the European Union, embassies and diplomatic missions of the Caspian and Central Asian countries working in Brussels, representatives and experts of economic, financial and investment institutions.
Noting the presence of rich natural resources in Turkmenistan, the meeting participants exchanged views on the possibilities of bringing these resources to the European energy markets.
The important role of Turkmenistan in transport and logistics relations at the regional and global levels, including large modern infrastructure facilities and prospects for international cooperation in this direction, was also noted.
