Exports of products of the oil and gas processing industries of Turkmenistan significantly increased in January-March of this year. Thus, compared to the first quarter of 2018, the export of Turkmen bitumen increased 4 times through the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of the country, 4 times - base oils. Supplies of polypropylene produced in Turkmenistan increased by 119.2%. Deliveries of fuel oil and gasoline direct distillation increased by 25%.
In general, in January-March 2019, 437 export transactions were concluded at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan for a total amount of over 490,680,000 US dollars and 91,550,000 Turkmen manats.
It is noteworthy that during this period, a number of Turkmen goods were exported, which were not shipped abroad in the first three months of last year. Among them - high density polyethylene, carbamide, etc.
Most transactions were concluded on the SCRME in the period from February 11 to 16 - 58 contracts for a total amount of 156 million 951 thousand US dollars. They were concluded by businessmen from Great Britain, Russia, Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Switzerland, Estonia, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan.
SCRME makes a significant contribution to the increase in exports of Turkmen goods with high added value, which are produced at the enterprises of Turkmenistan, including the oil and gas processing industry. Among them is the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries (including the Seydi oil refinery), as well as the Kiyanly gas-chemical complex for the production of polyethylene and polypropylene from natural gas commissioned in October 2018.
