The next 10th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Turkmen-Kazakhstan Commission for Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation was held in Astana, and was attended by a delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Vice chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan M. Chakiyev, the website of the Ministry of foreign affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
During the meeting, which was attended by leaders and leading experts of several ministries and departments of the two countries, a wide range of issues related to the implementation of existing intergovernmental agreements, as well as priority directions for the further development of productive partnership between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, were discussed.
The parties also discussed the implementation of the agreements reached at the end of the ninth meeting of the commission, held on May 3, 2017 in Ashgabat.
According to the participants of the meeting, the commission’s activities will give a new powerful impetus to the further development of a full-scale partnership in the trade, economic, energy and transport fields, in agriculture, food and processing industries. In particular, they noted the need to take concerted measures to deepen trade and economic ties, increase export-import operations and expand the range and volume of goods supplied and services rendered.
The parties also spoke in favor of deepening cultural, scientific and educational contacts and developing cooperation in the field of science, culture and education.
According to the results of the joint intergovernmental commission, the final protocol was signed.
