The delegation of Japan discussed in Ashgabat the possibility of investment and supply of equipment to Turkmenistan

The possibilities of bilateral partnership in the gas and chemical spheres, in the field of supply of equipment were discussed at the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan at a meeting with the Japanese delegation, who arrived in Ashgabat on a working visit under the leadership of Vice-President of “ITOCHU Corporation” and co-Chairman of the Japan-Turkmenistan Committee on economic cooperation Mr. Yoichi Kobayashi. This was reported on the website of the foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.

The participants of the meeting noted the high level of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Japan in the economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The parties discussed issues related to the implementation of projects for the supply of agricultural machinery manufactured by Komatsu.

They also discussed the possibility of joint investments in the gas and chemical industries through cooperation with the Japanese Bank for international cooperation "JBIC".

At the end of the negotiations, the parties signed the relevant Protocol.

The foreign Ministry also notes that in October 2018, the high delegation of Turkmenistan visited Japan, during which issues of expanding bilateral cooperation in the trade and economic sphere were discussed.
