The President of Turkmenistan outlined the priorities in the field of fuel and energy complex

On Monday, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a regular video-selector workshop with the participation of some Deputy Prime Ministers, heads of a number of ministries and sectoral departments, hyakim of Ashgabat. During the meeting, the priority tasks of development of the national economy, including in the oil and gas sector, were discussed.

In particular, Deputy Prime Minister Meredov reported on the state of Affairs in the structural units of the oil and gas complex, the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline, which is conducted in accordance with the approved schedule.

Noting with satisfaction the progressive dynamics of the TAPI project, the head of state addressed specific instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister on further diversification of the oil and gas sector, modernization of its infrastructure, as well as control over the timely implementation of major investment projects, including the creation of new routes for the supply of Turkmen energy to world markets and the construction of modern gas processing complexes.

Then the Chairman of the state concern "Turkmennebit" D. Hadzhiev reported on the work carried out to increase oil production, in particular, through the industrial development of new promising fields, the use of modern technologies in this area.

The President stressed that strengthening the raw material base of the industry is one of the priority tasks facing the fuel and energy complex. The head of Turkmenistan gave the Chairman of the state Concern instructions on a thorough analysis of the activities of oil and gas companies and the effective use of available reserves for the stable growth of their production and economic indicators.
