The international monetary Fund (IMF) slightly lowered the forecast of world oil prices for 2018 and 2019 — to 69.38 and 68.76 dollars per barrel, respectively, follows from the October report of the Fund on the world economy world economic Outlook. It is reported on Tuesday, PRIME.
The forecast of the average oil price for 2018 is reduced by 0.85 dollars, for 2019-by 0.23 dollars per barrel.
"The estimated average price per barrel of oil was $ 52.81 in 2017, the estimated price based on market futures, $ 69.38 per barrel in 2018 and $ 68.76 per barrel in 2019," the Fund said in a report.
In July, the IMF significantly raised the forecast of world oil prices for 2018 to 70.23 dollars per barrel. The forecast of the average oil price for 2019 was also raised to $ 68.99.
