Europe may increase gas imports by 100 billion cubic meters in the next decade

The growth potential of gas imports to Europe in the next 10 years is estimated at 100 billion cubic meters. This was announced at the panel session during the Russian energy week by the Minister of energy of Russia Alexander Novak, reports on Wednesday TASS.

"As for the pipeline gas, we expect to increase the consumption of the corresponding gas in Europe. Due to the reduction of our own production and due to the growth of consumption, we see great potential for gas imports, over the next 10 years we estimate an increase in imports by about 100 billion cubic meters of gas," Novak said.
