Meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan

March 25, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which examined the topical issues of public life, as well as projects of a number of important documents.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Director of the State Agency on Management and Use of Hydrocarbon Resources at the President of Turkmenistan Ya.Kakaev reported on the situation in the various sectors of the energy industry, the implementation of a number of large investment projects, as well as the planned measures on modernization, technical re-equipment of the industry, further development the gas transportation system of the country.

 Commenting on the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan's energy strategy aimed at efficient development of rich hydrocarbon reserves of the country and building mutually beneficial international cooperation in the oil and gas sector that meets the national and common interests. In this regard the Turkmen leader addressed the Deputy Prime Minister a number of guidelines for further implementation of the development programs, modernization and diversification of the national fuel and energy sector, aimed at strengthening its industrial and export potential, increase volumes and expand the range of the country's oil and gas and chemical products.

Among other issues under consideration - carrying out the sowing of cotton, vegetable and melon crops, preparing for the upcoming holiday "Drop of Water - A Grain of Gold", the further development of fisheries and electric power. As reported, at present the construction overhead transmission line Iolotan-Tahtabazar length of 146 kilometers and a capacity of 220 kW, with the introduction of which is in operation it will be possible not only to provide a higher level of reliability of energy supply local consumers, but also increase the power voltage supplied to neighboring Afghanistan.

In addition, it discussed the program of activities, which are planned to be held on March 29-30 in Dashoguz on the occasion of the ad cultural capital city of the Commonwealth of Independent States in 2016. To participate in the celebrations, as well as a concert of art masters of CIS member states foreign delegations will arrive in Turkmenistan. The Regional History Museum of Dashoguz province held an exhibition of works of fine and decorative arts of the Commonwealth member states. The cultural program of the forum includes a visit to the State Historical and Cultural Reserve Kunyaurgench, libraries and other attractions of the region.

Particular attention during the meeting was paid to the measures taken in order to further improve the health care system, scientific and educational spheres. In particular, it was reported that during the visit of the Turkmen delegation in Tokyo, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the University of Tsukuba. The University of Technology of Ashgabat is planned to organize the learning process on the basis of the Japanese curriculum and with the invitation of the Japanese teachers. This higher education institution provides open five faculties: "Chemical and Nanotechnologies", "Biotechnology and Ecology", "Computer Science and Information Technologies", "Automation and Electronics", "Economics of Innovation" Also, when high school is scheduled to open Turkmen-Japanese high school. In the fourth year, students are encouraged to study in Japan, higher education institutions, particularly in the Tsukuba University, where he will defend the thesis is necessary. Along with this, the Ministry of Education of Japan put forward a proposal to teach the Japanese language in the Turkmen-Japanese high school from 7 to 10 classes and 2, in order to more in-depth study of any specialty. Within the framework of cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency were considered development opportunities in Ashgabat seismic networks, etc.

The President of Turkmenistan signed a number of decrees, under which created the Organizing Committee on preparation and holding in Ashgabat at the end of 2016 Global Conference on the sustainable transport system.
