The US is interested in expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkmenistan, - Eric Stewart

US business circles interested in developing mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkmenistan, which demonstrates the rapid pace of economic development. This was stated by Executive Director of Turkmen-American business Council Eric Stewart during the meeting with President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Noting that Turkmenistan is always open for a constructive dialogue with foreign partners, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted fruitful interaction with the major American companies, who for several years successfully work in Turkmenistan.

Having exchanged opinions on prospects of development of bilateral cooperation in its priority areas, the parties noted that favorable preconditions for the diversification of business connections create ongoing in Turkmenistan large-scale transformational programmes and projects in various industries. Taking a course of accelerated industrialization, the creation of high-tech industries, Turkmenistan relies on the introduction of innovations and attraction of the best world experience.

In this context noted the significant role of bilateral business Council and a joint business forum proved an effective mechanism for promoting trade and economic cooperation, implementation of its solid potential, investment activity stimulation.

Among the topical areas of the Turkmen-American cooperation was the energy sector, transport and communications, industry, agriculture, high technologies, etc.
