The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan discussed issues of diversification of a cooperation with the EU

In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan the meeting with delegation of the European Union headed by the director of Russia, the Eastern Partnership, Central Asia, the Regional cooperation and OSCE in the European Service of Foreign Policy Activities (ESFPA) Luc Pierre Devin took place on December 6, 2017.

The agenda of the meeting included questions of a bilateral cooperation in various directions which are of mutual interest. Noting commitment of Turkmenistan to development of a cooperation with institutes and EU countries, the parties made a number of proposals on diversification of relations and their entering to new level.

In this context need of the organization of summits was noted and also offers on activization of inter-parliamentary communications were discussed.

During negotiations participants of the meeting discussed strategy implementation of the EU across Central Asia and stated offers on their further development. Besides the parties considered questions of a cooperation in spheres of power and education.

The parties emphasized the importance of regular carrying out the political consultations, business meetings and negotiations promoting forming of the reliable platform for a further intensification of the multi-sided relations of Turkmenistan with the European partners.
