Turkmenistan and Romania intend to expand partnership in spheres of power and transport

The another round of the Turkmen-Romanian interforeign Ministry consultations recently took place in the capital of Romania Bucharest. It is reported on the website of Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.

At the meeting the positive rate of development of the relations in policy and diplomacy, trade and economic and cultural and humanitarian spheres was noted.

"Special attention was paid to questions of power and transport", - it is noted in the publication of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country.

The Romanian side was headed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania Maria Chiobanu, the director of management of the UN, specialized agencies and francophonie, and Cornel Ionescu, the director of department of Eastern Europe and Central Asia. The parties discussed issues of efficiency of interaction within the UN and its specialized structures.

The Turkmen delegation was also accepted by the state secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania Dang Niekulayesku. Having emphasized importance of carrying out regular political consultations, participants of the meeting noted that thanks to mutual efforts the bilateral relations were aimed at the consecutive and dynamic development and achievement of new forms of cooperation in various directions.

Earlier Turkmenistan and Romania agreed about studying of optimum ways of trade and transport corridor the Black Sea - the Caspian Sea with use of benefits of the ports of Konstantsa and the Turkmenbashi.

In fact, it is about forming of the Euroasian transport corridor. In particular, the Civil service of sea and river transport of Turkmenistan studies possibilities of cargo transportation, including the liquefied gas to Constanta. The route of deliveries assumes use of specialcontainers and lies through the Caspian Sea to Baku (Azerbaijan), further by rail in Batumi or Poti (Georgia, the Black Sea region) and further - by the sea to Romania.
